Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday alleged that Bihar deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha possesses two different electors photo identity card (EPIC) numbers in separate assembly constituencies. The claim comes in the middle of the state’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference in Patna, Yadav said the information was available on the Election Commission’s online portal. He added that Sinha’s age appeared as 57 on one record and 60 on another. “This is also there in the new voter list given to district presidents of all parties. So now, who is committing fraud? People should know,” Yadav remarked.
The RJD leader alleged that the situation pointed to one of two possibilities — “either the entire process of SIR by the Election Commission is fraudulent or the Bihar deputy CM is a fraud.” His statement follows his earlier claim that his own name was missing from the draft electoral rolls, a charge that the Election Commission countered by releasing his voter details.
